Desolator have the distinction of creating music that should appeal to any fan of the various death metal sub genres. You’re going to find both brutal (Adversarial Doctrine) and melodic (Methods of Self-deception) tracks; the album has an old school feel while not really falling into OSDM worship. The technical aspect is by no means central, but tech death fans should appreciate the riff craft on display (Creatures of Habit). I even got a Sepultura vibe from the drums on the last track. i saw a movie with a crazy creature coming out of the ocean like this, but, instead of a lighthouse illuminating it, people were throwing matches and yelling obscenities. It seemed to have the same effect - none Dumb mmmn
